Life equals?

Hello! It’s another Wednesday… I’m sorry, you already know this 😦

Ever been rejected? Know that feeling of ‘Maybe I’m not good enough?’

Well, I know I have been there. Been rejected and felt not good enough.

How about you?

Today, I want to introduce you to these people that heard the words ‘you’re wasting your time‘ … ‘Do something else‘ … ‘You are not good enough‘ … ‘You’re too stupid to learn anything‘ … “You lack imagination and have no original ideas

Let’s see what became of them…

It’s a really short video, just over a minute.

Enjoy.

If you’ve never failed, you’ve never lived

Life = Risk

Getting Lost

Hello friends,

I worked this post a night before embarking on a new journey, NYSC. So as you read, I’m probably under the hot Abuja sun or something in Kubwa.

I’m having mixed feelings on this whole NYSC thing. I feel like I just got dropped in the center of a maze and I’m to find my way, I feel a little lost and I haven’t started yet. New place. New people. New faces. That’s the whole point I guess. Plus, I think I really need this you know; being away from people I have always known, making friends, losing friends, surviving in unknown territories. I don’t just want to survive. There’s more to the plan than that. I guess it’s time I finally found out the meaning to “Getting lost to get found”.

Anyway, do me a HUGE favor and say a prayer for me this very second, no matter how short…Thank you. I hope you said something. I really, we (fellow corpers) all need it.

So I came across this Video, a compilation of very relevant, food for thought cuts from a number of movies. It’s amazing and it was just what I needed.

So this is me sharing it with you…. This is me being nice. 😀

Be Nice and Share to others as well.

Enjoy

“The world aint all sunshine and rainbows it’s a very mean and nasty place and I do not care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it.”

“it’s not about how hard you can hit but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward”

Before I Die…

Sometimes, I like to shut my mind to certain realities.

People die. The ones we love. The ones we forget to tell that we love them. They just die.

How come it’s usually only at memorial services or it’s like that we get to hear all the good things to be said about someone? This someone who has already passed away, who can’t hear these nice things we now say?

Why is it that, it’s when the ones we love die that we remember to tell them how much they mean meant to us?

Funny how most of us never really show gratitude to people who in one way or the other have touched our lives till they kick the bucket.

At burials, we then go with long notes and speeches filled with platitudes. I mean, what is the point then?

You Love someone? Tell them.
Someone has been a blessing? Tell them.
We all tweet “I Love my mother” ….. Have you actually told her (Self sub)

The truth is, life is fleeting. We never really know what’s to happen next.

Just this Sunday, lost a friend because a drunk 33-year-old woman was behind the wheels.

N.B: When I die, don’t start speaking oyinbo at my burial… tell me what need to be said now! At my burial, just chillax and eat cake all the way. I’ll be waiting for you in Heaven. I Love You too. 🙂
